A little bit about me

Hi! I’m Becca, I’m 34 years old and I’ve been a nanny and child care provider for over 10 years—both in Wisconsin and in Washington state where I grew up. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and am also both first aid and CPR certified.

I’ve worked with all ages, both in private nanny and public teacher settings, and while both definitely have their unique pros—I really value being able to dedicate more time and individual care to the children I work with in a private nanny setting. My ultimate goal is to provide a caring, empathetic, developmentally appropriate, and fun atmosphere for all the children I care for! I’m outgoing, energetic, and not afraid to meet each child where they are—while always ensuring that they feel safe, understood, and cared for at all times.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently a private nanny for two families part-time in Kohler, WI. I transitioned to part-time with one after caring for their daughter from 3 months to 3 years of age because she entered preschool.

I have previous nanny experience in Wisconsin as well, ranging from some childcare center experience, to additional, longterm private nannying for another family in Sheboygan. I am happy to provide references as well!

I received my AA in Early Childhood Education from Lakeshore College in 2022 with a 4.0 and at the top of my class.

Additionally, I worked as an assistant preschool teacher while part-time nannying on the side in Seattle, WA from [phone number hidden].

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love getting outside (weather permitting—hello, Wisconsin!), getting out the arts and crafts, reading stories (telling them, too!), going on walks to the park, going to the lake, playgrounds (of course!!), dress up, building legos, trips to age appropriate places such as cafes, museums, movies, art facilities, parks, playgrounds, play dates, etc.

I am extremely flexible and understand that each child is unique and goes at their own pace. I love meeting children where they are and learning how to grow with them!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Building that trust and understanding with the children and families! It’s so rewarding to watch these kiddos grow, and getting to grow and learn right alongside them is just the bonus cherry on top of it all!

I think for me it’s about the little things. A tiny handing grabbing for mine at the children’s museum when they’re unsure or feeling shy. The waving from the window every time I drive away for the day. Hearing “nanny Becca!!!” And immediately getting ready to brace myself for a running jump hug! There are so many more, but I just love feeling that mutual trust and love for each of the children I get to work with.
