I worked in a special education classroom as a paraprofessional.

One thing that’s stood out to me during my years in education, is that every child/parent/staff is going through something. When they come to school they are safe, and able to fully express who they are. I’ve been able to motivate myself with that, by not only teaching my students, but getting to know them individually. That truly makes the difference in working with people.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I always loved recess with my students because we got to run around and swing on the swings! Another thing I love is painting/art. My mother was an art teacher and as shown me some fun projects to do in and out of the classroom. I grew up playing soccer, then softball in highschool, so sports are natural for me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to create a safe and healthy environment for the kids.

I’ve worked as a paraprofessional in a special education functional skills classroom since 2018.
