I have had the incredible joy of raising my 4 wonderful (grown) children & I have 9 precious grandbabies! They are all the love of my life! I'm 53 years old. I am a widow, now for 4 years.
I come with decades of daily skills and experiences in childcare. I have had an in-home daycare for many years. I was a State-Licensed Treatment Foster-Care Mama in the state of Ohio for 6 years, with my late-husband. We were able to take in 37 littles that were "medically fragile". These precious children are forever in my heart. I love caring for & teaching children. I am friendly & outgoing, & have a big heart.

I am a Nanny specializing in play-based learning. I’m skilled at customizing each child’s individuals learning needs and interests. I love doing Arts & Crafts, games, baking, flower & veggie gardening, reading with them, puzzles, flash cards, activity booklets, nature walks, indoor rainy-day activities, dancing, and teaching age-appropriate life-skills to mention a few.

My experience with special needs children...

In my 6 years with serving as a “Treatment Foster Parent” with ‘medically fragile’ children (LOC- levels of care 3 & 4). 35/37 children, I was able to take-in were LOC 3
& 4. They were born addicted to numerous heavy drugs in their system. I cared for children with everything from withdrawing off of these terrible drugs to helping with learning disabilities, cognitive & behavioral struggles., physical disabilities, mental health struggles, etc.. I was able to take them & advocate for them, to all of their many Specialist. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, Play therapy, psychiatrist, psychologist. Meetings with their social workers, caseworkers, Guardian-at-Litem, school, counselors, teachers to represent the children for all of these care needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Picking just one would be very difficult, but in general seeing the children I’ve cared for- learning skills that we have been working on together. Seeing their excitement and joy in their faces, makes me so happy!
