Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a substitute teacher, a mother of three. I help raise five other children as a foster parent at the same time. any children that are in my view are taking care of like one of my own. children are extremely vulnerable and need to be taken care of at all cost. there are awful people out there. i’ve worked in a prison and for the city as a 911 specialist. I have federal backgrounds and clearances. I have taken CPR and anatomy and physiology classes. If you have any questions for me, feel free to send a message. My schedule is pretty flexible at the moment I can do babysitting at any time and if you’re looking for something long-term, I can do that too.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to go to the park with my kids. I think it’s important for children to be outside. Of course, if the weather is decent. I like to let kids play in dirt and mud to be creative outside with painting and outside play. I like to read the kids and do puzzles. Lots of interactive play. Lots of reading and talking to younger children. That’s how they learn to speak. I’m not a big fan of kids watching tons of TV or playing video games. Of course sometimes is OK but I’d like to hang out with my kids and do things with them.

My experience with special needs children...

When I was subbing a few years ago, I had a classroom with 4 boys all of extreme special needs. One with oppositional, defiant disorder, one severely autistic, one with severe behavioral issues due to drugs in his system as a baby and one with emotional disturbance and ADHD. I ran that classroom for five months until the end of the school year. There were some days where it was difficult, but it was a learning experience, and I got to know the boys and their triggers.
