A little bit about me

Hi I’m Rebekah. I am currently a college student, and I’m wanting to major in psychology in hopes to achieve a future career as a child behavioral therapist. Ive worked part time/full time at a local child care facility for about two years now. I’ve loved getting to build relationships and connect with multiple kids on a daily basis, but I am looking to focus my attention to a smaller group of children, now that I will be taking more classes. I am willing to take care of kids as well as do house cleaning.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked at a local child car facility (not profit) for about two years. We have does various after school programs, and anything from arts and crafts to STEM activities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love spending as much time outside as possible, and exploring nature. I love showing kids how to grow food and cook. I also love doing anything from arts and crafts to having a movie and popcorn day.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part for me is to make sure that kids always have someone there for them. I believe that a very important party in child development is knowing that they genuinely have someone there for them for every need. I also think that another important part is the imprint that their care taker has on them, I believe that the more experience prince they have (such as exploring nature, learning new things, cooking, spending time doing hands on activities) gives kids a full and well rounded learning experience. I think that being able to match a kids energy and always move on from any situation with a positive attitude is very important.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked one on one with multiple special needs children. I have worked with kids who are non verbal and who are able to communicate with some sign language. I have made some of my favorite memories with them!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My job had took kids on a field trip to non-profit over the summer, and we did various activities such as music, wood shop, canoeing and horseback riding. It was so fun getting to see these kids let loose and have fun that day. If anything I’ve learned that kids stress a lot about things they shouldn’t, and it was so fun getting to see them care free for the day.
