Volunteering at the children's museum is an activity I have done quite frequently. Additionally, I specialize in tutoring, and if placing emphasis on summer education is something you would request, I am more than able to instruct your kids during nannying hours. Most of my official nannying has come from watching the children of relatives and family friends. I have cared for ages 3-12.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Coloring, bike-riding, going to the park/lakefront, taking the children to get haircuts, getting snowballs/ ice cream, building legos, playing outside in general, sports such a throwing a football/baseball/softball, volleyball, dance, piano, reading, telling/ writing stories, playing house/grocery, playing with barbies and action figures, video games, board games, coloring with chalk outside, foursquare, hopscotch, jump rope, and any other activities requested by the parents.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is safety. I am CPR certified and have training in how to fulfill necessary emergency treatment in case of an accident. Having my own car ensures that if there is an emergency I can bring your children to the nearest hospital. Additionally, I am well aware of proper procedures to keep your children safe in public, such as never letting them out of my sight while playing and when walking keeping a hold of their hand or within arm's reach. The second most important thing about being a nanny is making sure the children under my care have an enjoyable time in addition to being safe. Happiness is extremely important for children, and I believe that everyday under my care this will be fulfilled through interactive activities and fun games!
