The most important part about babysitting or being a nanny is definitely being as flexible as possible. Every kid and family has different needs and a dynamic that they're accustomed to. It's my job to become apart of their routine and make it as easy as possible for the kids and family.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my favorite moments are when the kids are able to be themselves around me and feel ultimately comfortable. I remember I used to babysit in the evenings for a family of 3 kids, all under the age of 6 years old. The youngest one was shy and had a hard time being away from mom. All I had to do was fake a sword fight and draw some pictures together for him to finally come around. He was a lot younger and ended up falling asleep in my arms to a movie that evening. It is definitely a struggle to adapt to new people and being away from mom or dad but I am here to make these situations as easy and comforting as possible!
