I have worked at several day and overnight camps in different states. I have 8+ years of babysitting experience with multiple families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like hands on activities for kids that give them freedom to be creative and imaginative while also learning and developing appropriate skills for their age. With younger children I prefer reading, games, and pretend play. Older kids can be more involved, so things like helping cook or bake and do instructed activities. All ages groups outside play as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Above all else, I believe that safety and care are the most important parts of being a nanny. I think showing a common level of respect to children instills in them that they can trust you and if children trust you fully, you can keep them safe and cared for.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for children with Down syndrome, diabetes, and autism spectrum disorders.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I babysat a large group of 2 families children, 10 kids total, and we spent time after dinner crafting. We decorated journals and shared about our week, focusing on communicating and spending quality time together. Later that month, for my birthday, each kid from both families had taken the time to draw me birthday cards, one of those cards being a picture of all of us around the tables crafting and talking to one another. It hangs on my fridge because I never want to forget that the activity I planned was so memorable for those kids.
