Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked as a camp counselor for the YMCA for two years in the preschool room. I’ve also worked as a camp counselor for a sleep away outdoor adventure summer camp in the mountains for the past two summers! My current job is as a party princess where I dress up as different Disney princesses for hospital visits and kid’s birthday parties! I’ve worked with kids of all different ages and circumstances.

I love hiking/ going to parks. I’m very outdoorsy and enjoy helping kiddos explore nature. I also enjoy baking and teaching basic recipes in a safe and fun manner.

Patience is key. Not every child learns and processes in the same way. It’s important to allow for understanding on all perspectives to figure out the best way for a child to have fun and function.

Because of my camp counselor positions, I’ve worked with children who are non-verbal, have ADHD, ADD, and Tourette’s.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments is definitely when I took the two kids I was babysitting to a nearby pond. We played so many games and read so many books. These two were OBSESSED with their tablets, so I figured this activity would be a bit of a stretch. To my surprise, the next time I came over, they asked to go back to the park!
