More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience caring for children of different ages, including supervising daily activities, preparing simple meals and snacks, helping with homework, and maintaining a safe and positive environment. I enjoy keeping children engaged through creative activities, outdoor play, and age-appropriate learning opportunities. I am patient, dependable, and committed to providing families with trustworthy and attentive care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy spending time with kids and finding different ways to keep them entertained, whether that’s playing outside, doing crafts, playing games, reading, or just letting them be creative. I like making sure they’re having fun while staying active and engaged throughout the day.

I’m the oldest of six siblings, so I’ve been around younger children for most of my life. Helping take care of my brothers and sisters has taught me a lot of patience, responsibility, and how to handle different age groups. Being from a big family has given me plenty of hands-on experience, and caring for children is something I genuinely enjoy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny, in my opinion, is being a positive role model. Children are constantly learning from the people around them, so I believe it’s important to lead with kindness, patience, respect, and good character. Many things, such as manners, confidence, and how we treat others, are learned over time, and I enjoy helping children develop those skills in a positive and encouraging way.

I believe in pouring into children and helping them recognize their strengths. Every child is different, and some may be more outgoing while others take a little longer to come out of their shell. I never believe in forcing children into situations that make them uncomfortable. Instead, I focus on creating a supportive environment where they feel safe enough to grow at their own pace. Whether it’s through activities, creative play, learning new skills, or simply offering encouragement, I love helping children build confidence while feeling comfortable, supported, and valued.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for children with special needs and have always enjoyed building positive, trusting relationships with them. I understand that every child is different and that each one has their own strengths, personality, and pace of learning. My approach is always centered around patience, understanding, and creating an environment where children feel safe, comfortable, and supported.

I recognize that some situations can feel overwhelming for certain children, so I do my best to remain calm, encouraging, and attentive to their individual needs. I genuinely enjoy working with special needs children and helping them feel included, valued, and cared for. Seeing them happy, comfortable, and confident is one of the most rewarding parts of childcare for me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite things about being a nanny is building strong bonds with the children I care for. I love knowing they feel safe, comfortable, and able to come to me when something is wrong. Even the younger children who may not be able to fully express themselves always find a way to communicate with me, and that trust means a lot.

My favorite nanny moments are when children remember me long after we’ve spent time together. Being a nanny is about more than supervision it’s about teaching, encouraging, and creating meaningful memories. Whether it’s helping a child learn a new skill, introducing them to a fun activity, or simply being someone they can count on, it’s rewarding to know I’ve made a positive impact in their lives.

Nevaeh C. - Seeking Work in Jackson

Babysitter Available in Jackson, TN: Nevaeh C.

Hi! My name is Nevaeh and I am a 19-year-old college student originally from Jackson, Tennessee. I am currently home from college for the summer, where I am studying Communications Media at Alabama A & M University.

After having the opportunity to work in a daycare setting, I realized that many of the childcare instincts I considered “natural” (such as being patient, attentive, nurturing, and able to connect with children) are skills that not everyone possesses. That experience strengthened my passion for working with kids and helping create a safe, positive environment where they can learn, play, and feel supported.

I am looking for opportunities with families who value reliability, communication, and genuine care for their children. I pride myself on being responsible, dependable, and energetic, and I look forward to building a positive relationship with both parents and children and being someone families can trust.
