Volunteered for years at First Presbyterian infant care room. 4 granddaughters, 2 are twins and spent most of 6 month with girls prior to hiring a nanny for them. Eleven nieces and nephews baby sitting. Started out at 12 babysitting.

I love showing new skills to infant, touch and feel textures, motor skill with hands and feet, Teach speaking skills and reading skill. Reading to them is very important. Exposure to music and play.

Being responsible for infant child, they are fully dependent on you. When it clicks it is good for the infant and parents.

My all time favorite memory was with my first granddaughter who was learning to put words together on a voicemail said, "I love you Nonnie". Which is my grandmothers name. The tone and how she was finding her words made my heart so full.
