Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy a wide variety of activities with children, focusing on fostering their development, creativity, and a sense of fun, such as arts and crafts, imaginative play, reading, educational games and puzzles, cooking and baking, music and movement and DIY projects. I try to find the best activities that are engaging, educational, and tailored to the children's individual interests and developmental needs. I strive to be creative, involved, and observant so that everyday moments can be memorable and enriching experiences.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I understand how important safety and trust are to a family — I take those responsibilities seriously. This includes protecting them from harm, providing for their basic needs, and creating a nurturing and supportive environment. Beyond physical safety, building a strong, loving bond with the children is crucial for their emotional, social, and intellectual development.
Communication is also very important. Effective communication with both the children and their parents is vital for a successful nanny-family relationship.

My experience with special needs children...
I have a grandson who has ASD. I have also been a substitute teacher in the special-needs classrooms.
I am able to provide individualized care and support to children with various challenges, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental delays. I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that fosters growth and independence so I seek to collaborate with parents, therapists, and educators to ensure a coordinated approach to care.

All "AH-HA!" Moments are favorite moments!
Most recently, my grandchildren recently had a butterfly garden, where they had caterpillars delivered that, if taken care of properly, would develop into butterflies. They were very excited about this project. I noticed a segment on a television news show about monarch butterflies that migrated long distances. During their designated "screen time" I suggested they watch it. It was exciting to see how fascinated they were. I love to see the excitement on children’s faces when they learn something new, and that it encourages them to delve deeper into a subject. On our next visit to the local library, I was delighted to help them find books on butterflies.
