Hi! My Name is Robin Stroda, I’m 21 years old and I grew up in a small town in Nebraska. I currently work as a personal assistant/personal chef for an incredible family in Richmond beach. I’ve worked with kids in different settings for many years. I worked as an event coordinator for a coffee shop in Texas. In this role, I threw a variety of kids events. One of my favorites being a weekly storytime, where I would read a story, provide a snack and lead a craft for kids 0-10! I love helping kids use their imagination and become great humans!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as an event coordinator at a coffee shop. I typically planned, coordinated, and executed 2-3 events a month. Events reaching from a weekly storytime to a water war to a pumpkin painting party. Those kids kept me busy! I also worked part-time as a nanny for a 10yo girl with ADHD.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love providing crafts, reading story’s and anything that can help stimulate a child’s brain. I like to give children the space to just be kids and have a little fun!

My experience with special needs children...

Back in Texas, I would babysitting regularly for some good friends of mine and their son has some sensory issues. Basically, he would get upset very easily due to things not going as expected. For example, one time he was eating in the living room and the dog took a bite out of his pizza…. Meltdown mode begins… He gets very upset and begins to throw anything in sight due to the stimulation overload. All I did in this moment was 1. Bring him a new piece of pizza 2. Sit down with him, apologize for the incident. 3. Affirm him, “that was no fun” but remind him that’s it’s okay because there was plenty of pizza 4. Lastly, I put the dogs outside to insure that would not happen again.
