More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 4 years of experience caring for the same three children We have built a strong and loving bond over the years. The girls especially love cooking with me. Whenever their mom messages me, she says, “They want to cook with you! What should I buy?” And when I arrive, they’re already wearing their aprons and little chef hats, ready to make cookies, popsicles, or other fun treats together.
If a child is having a tantrum or is upset, I always respond with calm and empathy. I say something like, “I understand that you’re upset. Let’s do an exercise.” Then we take deep breaths, raise our hands, and let out a big shout it becomes a playful way to release the emotion. If they don’t want to do the exercise, I ask if a hug might help, and we breathe together. This usually helps them feel better and slowly learn to manage their emotions in a positive way.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Lately, I’ve been really enjoying doing the girls’ hair and chatting with them they always have something fun to say! Cooking is one of my favorite things to do, and kids love being involved in the kitchen.
If there’s a dirt area outside, we pretend we’re discovering dinosaurs and hide little toys in the ground it becomes a fun adventure.
I also try to reduce screen time as much as possible, so if you’re okay with that, then you might be the perfect family for me!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building trust with the child and making sure they feel comfortable with me.
My experience with special needs children...
I haven’t worked with special needs children regularly, but I’m open to the opportunity.
I once had a short experience with a 4-year-old girl who had ADHD, but it only lasted about 4 hours because she didn’t feel comfortable being cared for by me. I kindly thanked her mom, and that was it.
I’m very patient and always kind, but I also understand that sometimes, no matter how much effort I put in, some children may not feel at ease — and for me, it’s very important that both the child and I feel comfortable.

My favorite moment is when I walk into the house and they shout, “Rocío, I missed you!” and run to hug me. I pick them up and spin them around that’s truly my favorite part of the day.

Babysitter Available in Sacramento, CA: Evelyn S.
Hi! My name is Evelyn, and I’m a 16-year-old sophomore in high school. I have hands-on experience caring for young children, especially my three nephews who are all under the age of five. I’ve been helping take care of them since they were newborns, so I’m comfortable with everything from feeding and diaper changes to keeping them engaged and safe. I also have a teenage nephew, so I have experience working with kids across a wide range of ages and understand how to adjust my approach depending on their needs. I’m very patient, responsible, and enjoy working with kids of all personalities and needs. One of my nephews is on the autism spectrum, which has helped me develop a strong understanding of how to support children with different needs in a calm and caring way. I’m currently in a hybrid school program, so I have a flexible schedule and am available most days. I also have basic knowledge of CPR and safety procedures, and I’m always open to learning more.
