More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've worked as a part-time weekend nanny during college, staying overnight with three children and handling meal prep. In the summer, I took care of a baby for six months while the mother was working. I also have experience working in preschool as a special needs assistant and in afterschool settings, helping kids with their homework.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing a variety of activities with kids as a nanny. Creative artwork is always a favorite, as it allows them to express themselves and explore their imagination. I also love incorporating STEM activities, like simple science experiments or building projects, which can be both fun and educational. Outdoor play is essential too, whether it's playing games or going on nature walks, as it keeps them active and engaged. Seeing the kids excited about learning and exploring new things makes every moment rewarding!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is creating a safe and loving environment for the kids. Building trust and a strong bond with them is key, so they feel secure and happy. Plus, being patient and adaptable helps handle all the different situations that come up!

My experience with special needs children...

I've had meaningful experiences working with children with special needs. My brother has non-verbal autism, which has given me a deep understanding and empathy for the unique challenges and joys that come with caring for someone with special needs. Additionally, I worked as a special needs assistant for a child with Down syndrome in preschool. This role involved creating tailored activities to support their development and ensuring they felt included and supported in all aspects of their learning and play. These experiences have taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of celebrating every achievement, no matter how small.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I helped a 4-year-old boy build his first LEGO tower. He was so excited and proud of his creation, and seeing his face light up with joy was absolutely priceless. It reminded me of how much I enjoy working with kids and seeing them excited about learning and exploring new things.
