I am a certified teacher’s aide in early childhood education (pre-k specific) with 9 years on the job experience. I’m looking to start a new adventure as a nanny 😊. I am the funnest grownup and friend to littles of all ages. I have a childlike enthusiasm for life and a passion and purpose for caregiving. It makes my soul happy to put a smile on a child’s face and I truly enjoy being around children. As a Mom to two teenage girls, and an aunt to a 7 year old boy, I honestly find myself missing the younger years and all of the fun that came with that. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

It has literally been my lifelong journey to be a positive role model and caregiver to children. Starting at a young age I jumped at the opportunity to volunteer at daycare and church nurseries. I doted on my little sister and grew up as a fun loving mentor to her and her friends. Then life made me a Mom and an aunt 💗 and I enjoyed my own littles so much that I was lead to working in pre-k at a public school. Now I feel like life is pointing me in a new direction, with the heart of the matter still being aligned with my purpose. I’m excited and anxious to see what this next chapter holds as I transition to being out of the classroom and in a position where creative freedom can prevail. 🥳

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Drawing, coloring, arts and crafts, reading, teaching/learning, dancing, swinging and sliding 😊, swimming. Water play, nature exploration, sandbox, scavenger hunts, parks and playgrounds.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think I probably wrote the perfect answer to this in the previous section. But, I think the most important part of being a nanny is two-parts. First and foremost being a caregiver and friend to children. Second, being a caregiver and friend to the parent(s). I have well over 100 references I can provide, the real life words you will hear from these parents is that their children love me (as I do them) and that they never had to worry about their children as long as they knew I was around. That is the honest to God truth. You will never have to worry 💗 I have very strong morals and high expectations of myself, this combined with God-given passion makes me an excellent fit for this profession.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience here is very minimal. I have been apart of the lives of children who suffer from behavioral issues, anger issues and ADHD. I have minimal experience with high functioning autism…but that’s all I have in terms of special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite teacher moments are when I see my students out in public and their eyes and whole faces light up and just sparkle. From babies to big kids, every age seems to be drawn to me and I love that!! Just the other week at splash kingdom a three year old looked at me, gasped a little and said “Mom, who is that”?! Lol 😂. I tend to get that reaction a lot, from children. It’s almost as if in the eyes of a child I sparkle like a fairy godmother. I know that sounds silly and deep…but I love those moments when babies of strangers reach out to me or a toddler wobbles over to me with their arms out like they’ve known me all their life. It’s so fulfilling to be able to be someone who adds to the life and love of a child who has a loving family that wants the personal experience of a bonded caregiver 💗.
