More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have babysat my three nieces as said in my description. I have also worked at Northkirk Presbyterian Church’s sunday daycare and the program provided wednesday mornings called momco. I have been working there coming onto 2 years now. I also work at The Education Team with elementary school aged children from ages tk all the way to 6th grade. I have been working there for about 4 months now and provide lesson plans and supper feeding and outside activities with the kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to play hide and seek or duck duck goose with the kids since they love to engage in imaginative play that can also help. I love to do flash cards as well to help the younger children to remember things like shapes, numbers, colors, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is spending time with the kids and watching them grow. I love to see how the kids improve in their fine motor skills and development skills and it feels very rewarding when they learn things I’ve taught and use it in their learning.
My experience with special needs children...
i’ve only worked with one special needs boy around age 6 and it went very well. I made sure to not cross any boundaries with him and ask what he’s comfortable with. he loved to watch movies and play with the toys so I let him do that and when it was snack time I gave him what his mother provided for him.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment would be when I was babysitting my niece and she got on my back and I gave her a piggy back ride while she laughed the whole time and was super happy. i’m glad in the moment I made her so happy.
