A little bit about me

I love working with children on a daily basis and it’s the highlight of my day. I am 52 years old and have raised 5 boys and worked in a church daycare setting with infants and toddlers for over 10 years unitil I started working for the school systems. I have work within school systems for the last 15 years with students from PreK to 2nd graders with special and regular education students as either a substitute teacher are paraprofessional teachers helper. I love working with children and would love to continue working with kids. Just looking for a change. I just couldn’t imagine not working with children. They are a blessing and I love working with them to grow healthy and learn everything them need to to succeed in life.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked with a lot of infants, toddlers, and school age children. I communicate with people well, friendly, patience, caring, very motivated, dedicated to my job by being an hardworking and easy going, love to working with people and very dedicated to the interest of all childrens childcare. I have a lot of experience caring for newborns from following a schedule with feeding, diaper changing, bathing, nap time, baby safely, etc and I feel very comfortable with caring for newborns, toddlers, and older children. I have worked with students from PreK - 4th grade. I worked with special need children including students with down syndrome, autism, behavior issues, and various learning disabilities by assisting regular and special education teachers within a classroom. I provide daily care and also reinforce student learning with instruction learning activities. Caring for children is a joy and the highlight of my day and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else on a daily basis.

Teaching and caring for young students is my passion and joy in my teaching career. I love caring, providing a healthy living and teaching environment with learning activities. I love art while allowing children express their talents and exploring their imagination in all types of art activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have never worked as a nanny but the most important part of working with children to me is helping them grow and learning all they can as I have worked in A Church Daycare setting for 10 years and then a substitute teacher and paraprofessional with regular and special education student for the last 15+ years in a classroom setting for Livingston School System. I would love to continue working with children as I have also raised 5 children of my own, all boys.

My experience with special needs children...

I have had many years working with special needs students with learning disabilities, Down syndrome, behavior issues. and artistic students, etc. I can work with students one on one, small group settings, and even a whole class of student on my own while teaching them based on their learning abilities and disability . I just can’t lift up on older kids due back and leg issues.
