My name is Ruby, I was born and raised within Dallas, I currently go to Trinity High School as a Junior, and I am in my 5th year of Choir! On weekends, I like to paint, shop, and volunteer for 1st through 5th graders at Fellowship Church. I want to start working, and getting paid for childcare, but I think the most important aspect of it all is I can stop relying on my parents for money. I want to get more financially responsible before I graduate, but I also want to improve my social skills. I am looking for an amazing family to hire me to work in a schedule that works for my school, friends, and church!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteer every Sunday around 11-12:30 for 1st through 5th graders. Recently, I just wrapped up a 5 day sleep away camp with 12 4th and 5th grade girls in my cabin I had to take care of; they were so sweet! I have never done payed childcare, all of it was out of the kindness of my heart, especially since I have had practice with my, now, 12 year old brother.

I like doing arts and crafts, going outside in the front or backyard, watching movies, playing games, and cooking/baking with younger kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The thing that most matters to me about taking care of young children is helping their development with older people and class peers. I think it’s important making sure kids grow and or learn every chance they get.

My favorite moment while watching kids had to be when I used “like” as a filler word to describe one of my camp girls, and she said, in a sassy tone, “we’re not LIKE 8, we ARE 8.” And of course I laughed my butt off since she thought I meant that as a comparison!
