I love anything outdoors! Drawing, painting, crafts, and making small fun meals to get them experience in the kitchen. Playing any kind of games, taking them out for activities like the zoo, the park, etc.

The most important part of being a nanny or babysitter is creating a safe, supportive space where kids, whether toddlers or school-aged, feel seen, heard, and cared for. It’s about more than supervision; it’s about building trust, encouraging creativity, helping with big feelings, and being a steady, positive presence in their day. Whether it’s reading a favorite bedtime story or helping with homework after school, showing up with patience, energy, and empathy makes a lasting impact.

My experience with special needs children...

I have babysat a young girl with Asperger's, my baby cousin is non-verbal, have watched a few kids with Asperger's as well as a young boy who is non-verbal. My mother is a behavioral analyst, and I go with her to work to learn methods on how to care for children with all kinds of disabilities!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Some of my favorite babysitting moments include getting “married” in a pretend wedding officiated by a 5-year-old (complete with flower petals and a plastic tiara), helping a shy toddler say their first full sentence, and spending an entire afternoon turning cardboard boxes into a “rocket ship to Mars.” I’ve also had some hilarious moments, like being asked if I was 100 years old because I knew how to use a microwave! Every day with kids brings something new, and that’s what I love most about it.
