More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered at my church toddler room and nursery room once a month each (pre-COVID).
I have three younger siblings that I would babysit for (unpaid... oldest sibling duties) starting when I turned 12, which means they were 10, 6, and 4.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Walks, playing at the park, painting, coloring, drawing, tag, hide and seek, role play games (superheroes, princesses, teacher, spies, restaurant), sensory activities for babies (playing in a bowl of flour/sand, dying pasta noodles to play with), squirting shaving cream on a table for kids to spread out and draw/write on (great way to get kids excited about practicing letters or spelling), baking, and board games.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is making sure your kids and the parents know how much you care about them. That relationship is vital. Parents are trusting YOU with THEIR children. That’s a major responsibility and not something every parents can easily do. If you love your kids and take the time to show that, plan activities, help them grow, prioritize safety, develop positive mindsets, show kindness and generosity, it makes it so much easier to build that relationship.

Ok I have the perfect answer for this prompt! The best thing to see in the kids you care about is PROGRESS & DEVELOPMENT! Out of the family of boys I cared for, the two year old, H, was super shy and skeptical of me when I first started. He cried every time I came over because he knew his parents would be leaving. Eventually, he was alright with me coming over, and then he became EXCITED and ran to open the door after I rang the bell to give me a hug! However, when bedtime came, he was a mess for his parents. Which is normal for toddlers, but it would make me feel so defeated when he didn’t want anything to do with me after we had so much fun together that day. Bedtime was always a struggle. There was a meltdown right before bed + any time he woke up. Then, one night, several months after I started working, H woke up crying AND WANTED ME TO SIT WITH HIM UNTIL HE FELL BACK ASLEEP! My heart grew 3x knowing that he trusted me and wanted ME to comfort him! Small thing, big accomplishment❤️
