More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a Park Monitor at a high ropes course. I would assist climbers through the courses both on the ground and on the course with them. Was hired by families to assist their children through the course and did summer camp activities with some of the kids who signed up for our camp program. (This includes, tie-dye, finger painting and simple science experiements.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love the outdoors and the arts so I'm always willing to run around and have some fun. But I'm also a bit of a home-body, finding a lot of enjoyment in films, games (both video and physical, ie board games, trading card games like Pokemon) and other indoor activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to empathize and relate to the child you are caring for. A lot of kids can feel like they arent understood or have someone to relate to beyond their age or can't share some concerns out of fear of being in trouble. Having someone a child can relate to and speak with about anything should always be available.

My experience with special needs children...

Very limited as my previous positions didn't have me working solely with special needs children, but I do have some experience with assisting children with needs from my time as a Park Monitor.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For a while I was babysitting and watching my younger cousins in Boston while their parents were readjusting to a work life for the both of them. I had spent enough time with them that they'd begun to call me their brother even after explaining to them I was not lol
