This experience gave me a great foundation in managing a structured, high-energy environment while making sure every child’s individual needs were met.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities I enjoy doing with children include exploring the outdoors, as I am someone who truly loves being in nature. I really enjoy taking the children on nature walks while they are in the stroller to observe the environment, as well as being active with them on the playground. For indoor play, I like to lead creative activities like finger painting, building blocks, and color sorting games to help with their fine motor skills. I also enjoy using animal yoga and movement to help them hit their physical milestones while having fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building a safe, trusting environment where a child feels confident to grow. I believe in being a reliable support system for the family while ensuring that every day is filled with both care and structure. For me, it is all about staying consistent with routines and being attentive to each child's needs so they can successfully reach their developmental milestones.

My experience with special needs children...

While my primary experience with toddlers was in a traditional classroom setting at The Learning Experience, I have over seven years of professional experience in companion healthcare working with special needs. During that time, I supported older adults with autism and cerebral palsy who were nonverbal. This background has given me a deep understanding of specialized care and patience, and it has made me very skilled at reading nonverbal cues and adapting my communication to meet a person's unique needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was during my time as a teacher’s assistant at The Learning Experience. We did a lot of potty training with the toddlers, and it was so rewarding to see them reach that major milestone. Just seeing them realize they had to go, letting me know by saying potty, successfully using it, and flushing the toilet afterward made me feel so happy and proud. We would even sing the Alphabet Song together while washing our hands to make sure they were clean. It was a great way to incorporate the ABCs and use repetition to help them learn their letters while practicing good hygiene. It gave me a real sense of accomplishment to see them becoming so independent and confident.
