Alongside babysitting for years, I have volunteered with children on many occasions and coached kids' volleyball clinics.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy drawing, playing games, and going on walks with kids! I also am able to visit play places with kids, read books together, and oversee play dates. I am comfortable in an environment with technology used for games and pastimes as well as an environment where technology is not preferred.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating an environment where the child feels like they are understood, comfortable, and able to have conversations with the nanny as both a friend, mentor, and elder. I also believe it is a nanny's job to leave a lasting impact on the children, to where they will look back with fond memories.
My experience with special needs children...
While my experience with special needs children is limited, I have taken care of children with disabilities and administered medicine when requested by parents. I am comfortable taking care of children in spaces with special needs children and am comfortable with taking care of/assisting children with disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when I did karaoke with two kids I took care of and we sang into a microphone together! It was a fun and silly moment together!
