I have worked at a center based program for special needs children birth to age 3 as an early intervention specialist. I have worked at the Ymca, where i worked with school age children, and included special needs children. I also was an early intervention specialist working with babies to age 3 in a specialty healthcare setting. I have raised my own two daughters. I have twin grandbabies age 3 right now.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
i love to read, play board, or card games, i love to teach them ABC S when theyre little. I make a game of it . I love to do outside activities such as treasure hunt, or picking flowers, and gardening or watching them play on their jungle gym, or riding their bicycle. i Enjoy playing and home made playdough and making organic home made arts and crafts, all activities are fun when a child is engaged. I love to sing and dance and play pretend when they are little. i love to sit and teach them lessons such as abcs 123 s and so forth.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with special needs children who were technology dependant such as needing a trach, or G tube. i enjoy working with special needs children in many different facets.
