A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Sacha and I’m 22 finishing up my last year of undergrad at CSULB. I’m majoring in Economics. I currently work at Starbucks working from 6am - 1pm (m-f) then heading to my classes for the day. I will say that it’s a lot of added on stress, surprising or not. I feel myself trapped in this endless year long loop and I know it cannot be healthy for my mental/spiritual health. That’s why I’d like to apply as your nanny/babysitter.

There’s a lot to learn from kids. Kids are fun, honest, and wise you just have to present enough to receive their gifts. I learned this because Ive grown up taking care of children. I volunteered to care for my cousins ranging from 4 years to 13 years for years on years, so I have a lot of experience with the toddler/preteen ages. I tend to be a bit to a clean freak so cleaning activities are fun for me too. I will say in my ideal world I would want to get some study time while the kids are down taking naps or even doing their own homework.

I love love love writing with kids! You get to keep whatever they write to you and see their progress in their writing skills. You can also just pick their brain and see how much love they see in this game called life. I’ve done this so many times w kids and each time in my reflection I learn something new. It’s a really good way to practice gratefulness and to learn how to regulate emotions at a young age. Imagine your kid writes a letter to every day, explaining to you how they feel and what they did today that made lit them up etc. As a parent/guardian is priceless gold.

The most important part about being a nanny...

BEING PRESENT w the kid! if you’re not doing your job correct, you’ll miss out on what’s important. Another thing being a nanny is so important. As a parent you’re literally choosing a guardian for your kid while you go out and do adult real world stuff. You need to be so 10000% sure of your nanny and feel confident in them enough to have that trust that your kid is being protected and guided in the way that you see fit while you’re gone. Communication and transparency between nanny and parent is an absolute necessary must!!!!!
