I’ve cared for children from 6 weeks to 15 years old and also have professional daycare experience, where I started as a teacher assistant and worked my way up to lead teacher. I’m the oldest of six, so childcare has always been a big part of my life. I’m currently studying nursing with the goal of becoming a neonatal nurse, and I’m especially passionate about child development. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 5 years of paid childcare experience and over 10 years of hands on experience caring for children within my family and community. I’ve worked with children from 6 weeks old through age 15. I also have professional daycare experience, where I began as a teacher assistant and worked my way up to lead teacher. In that role, I supervised children, followed daily routines, planned age appropriate activities, supported meals and naps, encouraged positive behavior, and helped maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment. I’m also the oldest of six, so caring for younger children has always been a natural part of my life. My experience includes infant care, bottles, diapering, sensory and developmental play, reading, crafts, outdoor activities, meal prep, bedtime routines, and light child related housekeeping.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy arts and crafts, painting, reading, sensory play, puzzles, imaginative play, music and dance, simple baking or cooking, and developmental activities for younger children. Outside, I love going on walks, exploring nature, playground time, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, scavenger hunts, and other active play. I also enjoy letting kids take the lead and turning everyday moments into something fun while keeping screen time limited and encouraging creativity, movement, and learning.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are the little ones that show a child feels safe and comfortable with me, like when they get excited to see me, proudly show me something they learned, or reach a new milestone we’ve been practicing together. Seeing their confidence grow and knowing I played even a small part in that is always the sweetest part of childcare for me. I also love the random silly moments that turn into inside jokes and make an ordinary day memorable!
