The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was during bedtime with a young child who was feeling anxious while their mother was recovering from surgery. We made reading time a special routine each night. At first, the child was restless and worried, but as we read together and talked about their day, they slowly relaxed. One evening, after finishing the story, the child smiled, hugged me, and asked if I could read the same book again tomorrow. That small moment showed me how much comfort, consistency, and care can mean to a child, and it reminded me why I love working with children.
