More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 4 years of relevant experience as a nanny, during which I have had the privilege of caring for children in various settings. I have worked with families in both private homes and childcare settings, where I was responsible for providing daily care and ensuring the children’s safety and well-being. My experience includes caring for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children, where I helped with activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and establishing bedtime routines. In addition to daily care, I also assisted with educational activities like reading, homework help, and organizing playtime that promoted both learning and creativity. I have also provided light household assistance related to the children's needs, such as preparing meals, doing laundry, and organizing toys. This hands-on experience has allowed me to develop strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a deep sense of responsibility when caring for children

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I truly enjoy engaging with children through a variety of fun and educational activities. Some of the activities I love doing with children include:

Arts and Crafts: I love helping children express their creativity through drawing, painting, and crafting. It's a great way to enhance their fine motor skills while having fun.
Outdoor Play: Whether it's going for walks, playing in the park, or organizing games like hide-and-seek or catch, outdoor play is always a favorite. It's important for children’s physical development and also allows them to explore the world around them.

Storytime: Reading books together is one of my favorite activities. I enjoy bringing stories to life with different voices and expressions, which helps children develop language skills and fosters a love for reading.
Educational Games: I enjoy playing educational games that challenge children’s problem-solving abilities, such as puzzles, memory games, or even simple board games.
music and dance

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with the children and their families. This trust forms the foundation for everything else—whether it's caring for the child, guiding them through their daily routines, or providing emotional support. Children thrive when they feel safe, secure, and understood, and as a nanny, it’s my job to ensure that I create an environment where they can flourish.

Beyond that, being a nanny means being adaptable, patient, and empathetic. Each child is unique, so it’s important to tailor care and activities to suit their individual needs, whether that’s through providing emotional support, encouraging learning, or creating opportunities for fun and growth. Being a nanny also means being a positive role model, teaching valuable life skills, manners, and kindness.

My experience with special needs children...

I have had the opportunity to work with children with special needs during my 4 years of nanny experience, and it has been an incredibly rewarding and enriching part of my career. I have cared for children with a variety of needs, including developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and other learning or physical disabilities. This experience has taught me to be patient, adaptable, and resourceful in providing care that caters to each child’s unique needs.

My approach focuses on creating a structured, supportive, and safe environment, ensuring that the child feels understood and valued. I have experience implementing strategies such as visual aids, communication tools, and sensory activities to support children with learning difficulties or communication challenges. I also work closely with families to follow any specific therapeutic routines or programs that may be in place, such as speech therapy or occupational therapy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I was working with a young child who had been initially shy and hesitant to engage with others. After several weeks of building trust and providing a safe, supportive environment, we spent an afternoon doing a simple arts and crafts project together. As we worked, I encouraged her to share her ideas and express herself through the colors and shapes she was using. Slowly, she began to open up, not just in her art but also in conversation.

By the end of the activity, she proudly showed me her creation and said, "Look, I made this all by myself!" The smile on her face and the confidence in her voice were absolutely heart warming. It was a small moment, but it felt incredibly rewarding to see her grow in both creativity and self-esteem. That day, I realized how powerful patience, encouragement, and providing a space for a child to express themselves can be.
