Hi I’m Salina! I moved to Toledo from Montana where I was a nanny for crazy toddlers whom I adore and miss. I am looking for a family that I will fit in with.
As a responsible childcare provider with over four years of experience (including newborn) I'm passionate about fostering a safe environment for children to grow. I believe that communication is key to building trust with parents. I make sure to keep parents updated about their child's day and address any concerns that arise. I'm comfortable following the parents lead when it comes to enforcing household rules.
My approach to childcare is centered around patience and a friendly demeanor. I enjoy engaging children in a variety of activities that stimulate their minds and bodies.
I am comfortable with pets and cleaning, along with temper tantrums and dirty diapers.
I have plenty of references and am willing to do a background check. I have a clean driving history, am CPR certified and currently going through first aid.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a nanny for two toddlers who are quite the handful but I really love them and we have a great relationship. Before the nanny job I babysat for 3 years and made wonderful connections with plenty of families that are very different from each other. I have handled a variety of kids ranging from chill to extreme, but I think all types are fun. I also work at a preschool and I really enjoy it. It is such a reward seeing such young minds grow and learn every day. I quit the other job because I moved away and am currently babysitting again. I have a lot of experience with toddlers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy playing educational games, or just fun ones. And I love being outside with children along with taking them to libraries and other activities like that.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is to have a good connection with the kids and family. I’d want them to have good memories, and enjoy their time spent with me as their nanny.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say my favorite (very bittersweet) moment with my nanny kids was when I got back from a long trip, and the little girl came running up to me and gave me the longest, sweetest hug and told me not to leave again. It made me realize what a big part of their life I was, and how strong of a connection we had. I miss her and her sister very much and would love to have a similar connection with a new family.
