More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I used to babysit in my hometown during the summers. Some of my responsibilities included feeding them and taking them to do fun activities. My volunteer experience with children of all ages is extensive as I was involved in a service organization during my time at OSU. College Mentors For Kids was something I was briefly involved in and that included being paired with an elementary student to do weekly activities. While I didn’t always work directly with children when I volunteered, the impact I was making for children that didn’t have stable living conditions or access to basic necessities was profound.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy reading to children as it’s something I find important for their overall growth. I also like indoor and outdoor activities like parks, pools, and the zoo. I’m a certified lifeguard and certified in CPR and first aid, so I feel comfortable watching children around pools and emphasize the importance of water safety.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children is very limited. The most experience I have would be working with a family in my hometown that have 2 children with ADHD.
