I worked with adults with developmental disabilities for over a year, I've been a babysitter for hire for many years and have worked with special needs youth, and I'm currently pursuing a Social Work Bachelor's degree, which comes with lots of education regarding how to best approach childhood learning and emotional development.

I enjoy discovering how to integrate a child's current interests into educational activities that can boost developmental milestones and promote a lifelong positive relationship with learning. I especially enjoy reading with children, assisting with school work/preparing children for entering a school environment, and getting lots of exercise both indoors and outdoors!

My experience with special needs children...
I have primarily worked with adults with very high support needs, but I babysat a young boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder from two years old up until he began Kindergarten! I'm very effective at understanding nonverbal youth and I'm comfortable assisting in finding alternative communication methods for children who need them.
