I have two children myself and I am currently in nursing school. After I graduate, I hope to find my place in the pediatric side of healthcare. I have worked in nursing homes and helped with patients that have Alzheimer’s and dementia. I did in home care for one gentleman with both. My current job is through a company called Right At Home, where I care for an elderly couple in their home. They both have signs of dementia. I help them Monday- Friday 9-5. School is going to interfere with this schedule to the point that I will have to find another way to earn an income. I have spoke with my patients and their children so they can be prepared when the company finds someone to fill my position. I have also watched nieces and nephews and cousins while having my children there as well.
