Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a nursing assistant and have experience with autism and ADHD. I am experienced with feeding tubes and food allergies. I have infant,, toddler, home education, and daycare/ preschool experience. I am cpr certified and have a clean background with references.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I sing and dance and read with children. I do lots of hands on activities to develop fine and gross motor. I try to encourage learning thru natural development using play and art by modeling appropriate social skills and description by talking about activities we are doing in simple statements developmentally appropriate per child. I use names of children to keep them engaged in activities. A busy mind is an engaged and learning mind. I try to encourage redirection and learning better decisions rather than scolding where appropriate with poor decisions children make with questions like what can we do next time? And good job using your words and use nice hands.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Development comes in many different shapes and forms and not everyone learns at the same pace or in the same way. I try to cater to learning style of each individual child.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a son on the autism spectrum that has mild Cerebral Palsy. My husband would watch him. I have been involved with homeschool and multiple extra curricula activities and therapies. I have worked as a special needs nanny with several families with a variety of diagnosis and have varied experiences.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are always when kids learn new skills they struggle with. If I had to pick 1 it would be a special day before covid we took kids to the discovery center in Murfreesboro and did the fire truck and toddler village then nature walk with a friend. Then we went to rainforest Cafe and the toddlers and preschool kids were captivated and so amazed by the anamatrinic animals. The gorillas stole the show!
