More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve cared for children includes working as an RBT, lead teacher, and assistant teacher. I’ve also worked at DC Preparatory Academy and Kindergarten Learning Center, gaining experience in both traditional and inclusion classrooms. Over the years, I’ve cared for children ranging from 2 months old up to teens, supporting their learning, play, and overall development.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy doing with children include reading stories, arts and crafts, outdoor play, imaginative games, music and movement, and hands-on learning activities. I also like helping with homework, creating fun educational games, and supporting children’s social-emotional learning (SEL) skills by encouraging teamwork, empathy, communication, and problem-solving.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is keeping kids safe, happy, and supported while helping them grow and feel confident. I love creating a fun, nurturing environment where children feel valued and parents can have peace of mind.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working one-on-one with children as an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician), both in their homes and in clinic settings, supporting kids with a variety of needs. I’ve also worked in classrooms with autistic children, helping them learn how to participate and succeed in a general education setting by giving them the extra tools and support they need to thrive. I focus on creating a supportive, patient, and encouraging environment so every child feels included, confident, and capable of reaching their goals.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny/teacher moments are seeing a child have a breakthrough or gain confidence in their learning whether it’s mastering a new skill, participating in class, or discovering they can do something they didn’t think they could. I love watching kids grow, get excited about learning, and feel proud of their accomplishments, knowing I helped guide and support them along the way.
