I was in a vocation class for early education and care during all 4 years of highschool, where i assisted in our onsite preschool; interacting with a classroom of kids ages 3-5, lesson planning, doing crafts with children, and improving my skills and education on childcare— During my junior year and senior year, i also interned at 2 different childcare centers where i worked with kids ages 5 weeks to 5 years. For a little over a year till current, i work as a library page for the children’s area of a local library, where i am constantly helping children and planning crafts for them.

While i was working at my local library supervising at an event they were hosting, a child from my internship site recognized me and was so excited to see me— it was so heartwarming, and it truly made me happy knowing that i’ve been able to make such a positive impact on a child that they’re excited to see me around.
