In addition to caring for family, I have also babysat and nannied in the past. I volunteered through college in elementary school settings. I was a preschool teacher for 3 to 4-year-olds as well as two-year-olds for a year. Currently I work as a registered behavioral technician with preschoolers on the autism spectrum.

I love doing art activities with kids, it’s so amazing every time to see how they create from such a brand new perspective. Learning about science and the natural world is also one of my favorite things to do with kids. I know quite a few facts about animals and can identify many plants and insects.

Human beings were always meant to raise our children in community with each other. Small children are actively developing their lifelong blueprint for attachment and connection, while also developing a sense of self. Childhood relationships form the way that we relate to people for the rest of our lives. Having caregivers who are able to attune to you as a little human being learning how to socialize and connect during this time is so vital to setting kids up for success. Safe adults in addition to primary parents in a support circle are vital for kids’ healthy development, as well as the mental health of the parents.

I currently work in an Applied Behavioral Analysis clinic as a Registered Behavioral Technician. I work with kids on the autism spectrum to learn emotional regulation, as well as social and life skills.
