Hey I’m Santanna. I am currently in college at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater studying early childhood education. I am 20 and I used to work at a warehouse. I realized that is not for me. I vented to my mom about it and she said, “do something you have a passion for and that you actually like.” I thought about how much I loved nannying in the past so I decided to return to childcare. So here I am. I am reliable and I have my own car. I was lifeguard trained in the past in case you might have a pool. I absolutely do not smoke or drink. I enjoy reading with the children, as well as painting. If we are outside the children usually like sidewalk chalk, hide and seek, a nice walk to the park, and visiting splash pads in the summer.

Being patient and caring as a nanny is very important to me because children can feel your emotions. So I believe no matter what kind of day someone is having it should not reflect how you treat a child.

There was this time when I was caring for a three year old and he was not always nice to his younger brother that was learning to walk. But I always taught him to be nice to his younger siblings. His younger brother was climbing on him trying to stand up on his own and usually the older brother would push him. But this time he went around behind him, reached down, and helped him to stand. I was so happy that he was learning to be a sweet older brother.
