A little bit about me

I have cared for children for over 24yrs (started really young) and have experience with children of all ages and even adults! I have background in caring for those with special needs also but no formal certifications. I love caring for children and helping them learn and grow!
I am a mom of 2 also my daughter turned 1 in December and my son is almost 14 he's special needs (my background in special needs isn't just from him though) he's mostly self sufficient but still needs minor supervision so I may need to bring him with me occasionally like over the summer and on school breaks. My daughter will most likely need to be with me every day depending on the schedule needed. Don't worry though your child(ren) will be my main focus while working.
My requirements are payroll, PTO/sick days, holidays, and guaranteed hours. Other than that I'm easygoing and flexible!

The most important part about being a nanny to me is keeping your little ones happy, safe, healthy!

My experience with special needs children...

I started working with children and adults with special needs in middle school I volunteered all my free time and also I'm high school in the classrooms. As an adult I was going to college to become a special needs teacher but never finished my degree due to having my son and him being special needs. I have cared for special needs adults on occasion and my current nanny position I have a special little boy I care for. I've learned a lot over the years but I am also not formally certified just to let you know.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My previous family when their little boy learned to say my name and then each day at nap time he would say Miss Sara I love you numerous times before falling asleep. I was with them for just under a year and a half. Another previous family they have 2 children but I mainly only care for their youngest he's special needs and it's the sweetest when I walk in and he just smiles the biggest smile I've ever seen and then reaches for me to hold my hand once I've settled in and his giggles when he gets tickled are the cutest ever! I love and cherish so many other memories with other family's as well. I love watching them grow and learn new things I sometimes even learn a thing or two from them also. One little boy I watched loved trucks he was very young and knew the correct name for each type of construction truck and even tought me what they were!
