More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a teacher for regular and special Ed. Children for 20 years ages birth-9. I also taught preschool for two years before I left the formal educational system to become a nanny. I’ve been nannying full time for the past two years and love it!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy seeing children engaged in activities THEY love while also introducing them to new ones. I enjoy going on hikes, walks, to nature centers, parks, playgrounds, the pool, art and music classes, etc. I definitely am an active person and enjoy outings with kids!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping kids safe, happy, nurtured and working with the parents/family to make sure that lines of communication are open and that a solid relationship between me and the family is established. Being a mother myself, I understand how difficult it can be to juggle work and family. I feel that my role as a nanny is to make this juggling act a little easier for everyone.

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience working with children with mild to moderate disabilities of varying origin. I’ve worked with children who are Autistic, learning disabled, children who have attention/behavioral challenges and also children who have seizure disorders along with physical disabilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The day I drove up to their house in the morning and both kids were standing at the front door waiting for me and started jumping up and down when they saw my car pull up. Priceless.
