I worked as a live-in nanny for two families, gaining hands-on experience in full-time childcare. My first live-in position lasted a couple of months while I supported a family during a transitional period. I then spent four years as a live-in nanny for another family, where I was responsible for daily routines, meal preparation, activity planning, homework help, and maintaining a safe and structured environment. I was caring for 3 kids.
In addition to my live-in roles, I have babysat for many families over the years, caring for children of various ages and managing everything from evening routines to full-day care. My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children who have special needs, including caring for a stage 3 autistic boy and a diabetic infant. With the autistic child, I supported daily routines, encouraged communication, helped with emotional regulation, and created a calm, structured environment tailored to his needs. With the diabetic baby, I followed strict care instructions, monitored symptoms closely, and ensured proper feeding routines to help maintain stable blood sugar levels.
These experiences have strengthened my patience, attention to detail, and ability to adapt care to each child’s unique needs while keeping them safe, comfortable, and supported.
