The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many important parts!
Here are some that are important to me: Having a great relationship with not only the child(ren), but also the parents!
Being able to explore and adventure with children, allowing them to take the lead and learn about what they are interested in.
Knowing that the family feels supported by me and that I will love their kid(s).
Learning how different families and children operate and work together is exciting to me.
Taking time to get to know and understand each child’s individual personality, strengths, and areas of work.
Working collaboratively with parents on what is expected of me/their children/the job.
Making sure that their is a healthy balance of active play and “down time” with children.
Teaching children how to be kind, think for themselves, speak their mind in a respectful way, etc.
Much more that I look forward to talking about!

Babysitter Available in Ellsworth, ME: Mya S.
I am currently a first-year college student studying chemical engineering at the University of Maine in Orono. I have been babysitting for a couple years and have lots of experience with infants and toddlers. I am caring, reliable, patient, and truly love taking care of kids. I enjoy planning creative activities, outdoor play, reading time, and helping with homework. My goal is to work with parents to support each child's emotional, social, and developmental needs.
