More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience working as a summer camp counselor for six years now working with age groups ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade. Outside of this I have babysitting experience of four years (ages 1-5)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When the weather is nice park days are always fun. When inside some fun card games, interactive games, crafts. I also love to utilize the children’s interests as well to find what’s most engaging and fun for them!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is to meet the child’s needs. To ensure their safety and to make sure they are having a good time! Also it is important to meet the parents needs as well and clearly communicate expectations/requirements.
My experience with special needs children...
When working as a camp counselor I worked with a few different special needs children mostly just a few kids on the spectrum within our group. I find that I have the patience many lack to work with those kids and to meet their needs. Patience is key to finding the root in what may be seemingly a behavior issue! This experience was a testament to that :)
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments are building a bond with the kids. When they grow a bond with you, laugh with you, it makes the experience so much more worth while. I love to brighten their days when they might be sad to be away from their parents and to leave a positive impact on their nannying experience as well!
