More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered at my church every other Sunday morning (taking turns) teaching/watching children in Sunday school class ages 8 months old-7 years old. Doing mostly arts/crafts, coloring/drawing, reading, playing games, singing songs, saying prayers, prepping and handing out snacks, helping to the restroom/changing diapers, and cleaning up before church gets out.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Art, trampoline, music/dance, playing outside a lot, making slime, fun traditional games, hide and seek and tag board games etc. Making mud pies, water balloon fights and lots more!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Always the safety and well-being of the children, rules, any specific routines they have, consistency is very important, and patience.
My experience with special needs children...
Use to be paid for taking care of a autistic child named Joel, and he also had surbolbpolsy. His body was barley functional, because he had a heavy limp/step in his walk, arms were super long and shaped off curved down to his fingertips, to where picking things up was a working progress, even writing and drawing/coloring, his head was abnormally shaped, along with his ears, to the point of extreme visibility of his condition
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was able to teach a few younger children how to swim properly with confidence. My church was sending the Sunday school children I helped teach, to the swim park, and I noticed they were trying to swim correctly and it was so cute! I went over to them and told them how I learned how to swim for my 1st time. I was 6 years old and held my breath, then went down under water to practice breathing exercises 1st, then tried floating on my belly and/or back until I was for sure keeping my body straight "on top" of the water, next hold on on to side no of pool while kicking and moving feet up and down fastly while also floating body straight above water floating myself, then last step was doggy paddle and use my arms and hands too.
