Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For the last 11 months, I’ve been working as a personal assistant for a young special needs girl! I’m currently in school to become a special needs teacher and this job has been a great stepping stone for my future career! It’s important to me that disabled people are allotted the opportunity to learn and develop themselves in ways that aren’t defined by their disabilities. With that being said, I am very patient and am always willing to compromise! I love the time I get to spend with her doing whatever wherever! I am currently still working with her on Thursdays/Fridays from 4 pm-8 pm and Saturday from 1 pm-5 pm, but I am willing to work around those designated hours!

My experience with special needs children...

My first exposure to being with special needs children began when I was a peer tutor in middle school, where I was given the opportunity to meet students in both included and confined classrooms.
