A little bit about me

My name is Sarah Elizabeth Sanderson, I am a 19 year old Sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and I currently live in Maxton, N.C with my mother and father along with two younger siblings. I am a Teacher Assistant at a Childcare Facility in Laurinburg, N.C and I've been working there now going on 2 years. I feel like patience is key with most children, you have to sit down and basically figure them out for yourself. I love interacting and doing little activities with them as well. I really want to just adventure out more with childcare and help other parents, single moms, single dads, etc. and make their load easier all while enjoying it for myself with the little ones. Some personal things about myself is I attend Youth for Christ Holiness church in Maxton, N.C. where my father is the current Pastor. I also do caregiver assistance with elders sometimes on the side and I enjoy doing any type of outdoor activity. I hope to meet some little one's very soon!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities I enjoy doing with children consist of coloring, reading, painting, outdoor play/walks. Taking them out for treats, etc. Personal time, which would be getting to know the child or children more on a personal level so they will feel more comfortable all while getting to know me. Bonding is really important to me with the parents and children because parents are the main one's who will be putting their trust in me to take care of their little one's to the fullest.

The most important part about being a nanny for me is the child's well being. I want them to have fun and feel safe and be safe with me at all times. Also, the parents perspective of me. I want them to have 100% trust and faith that I am doing my best to be the best to their child at all times.

My favorite nanny moment most definitely was when one of my babies at the facility I'm currently working at finally said my name. "Miss Sawahh" she said. I worked so hard with her and I was full of bliss and tickled to death when she finally said it.
