A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Sarah. I’ve been passionate about caring for kids since I was 13, when I would take care of my neighbors and family’s kids. The kids would always request me to be their sitter, as I love staying engaged with them.
This passion turned into a career when I went to school and got a bachelors in psychology, and then became a behavioral therapist for children with autism. This has been my work for the past four years, after previously being a nanny, and special education teacher at a private school.
I am looking to take a turn towards nannying because I feel it would allow me to connect more with the kids, have even more fun, and give them better, more intensive care by spending more time with them.
Outside of work, I like to read novels, care for my dog Ongo, my plants, and spend time outdoors, and play games.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with special needs children for 5+ years as a behavioral therapist, teacher/paraeducator, and a nanny. The children have had a range of needs some being mostly independent and others needing some extra help in everyday tasks. Ive helped some children develop their language skills enough to be able to effectively communicate wants and needs.
