I have done a field study at a local elementary school as well as volunteered to mentor children who struggled socially. I also have a certificate to be an assistant child care teacher and have observed multiple daycare/head start classrooms.

My experience with special needs children...
I have personally never babysat or nannied someone else's child with special needs however I have a couple family members with special needs and have watched them for periods of time. I have also been involved in a mentor group for students with special needs off and on for several years.
