More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I nannied for a year while going to school for 2 families in St George Utah. I nannied after school and weekends! I coached the 5-7 year old dance competition team. As well, I taught a 3-5 year old combo dance class. I have also taught swimming lessons for 4 summers. I taught the higher levels (ages vary but normally 8-12 years old) as well as lower levels (usually from 2-8 years old). I taught 10 classes a day. Each class was 30 minutes for 5 days a week. In both occupations I was responsible for teaching them the curriculum as well as making sure they were having fun and keeping them safe.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing what they love to do! My best memories from being a nanny in the past is when the children I am caring for teach me or show me something that they love or are passionate about. Aside from that, I love to be outside, going to the park, swimming, going on walks, riding bikes, and having picnics. I also love to read so I enjoy reading to children or have them read me a book. I also love movie nights and playing games or toys!
My experience with special needs children...
I taught two special needs children to swim throughout my career as a swim instructor. I had a special connection to both children and really came to love them. To be transparent, my patience was tested frequently, but my deep affection for these children kept me calm and collected during the harder days.
