A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Savana. I have a younger brother and have worked with children all my life, though not officially. My family and friends have had me help them watch their children of all ages.I’m great with pets as well.I have almost completed my first degree, and I’m trying to raise money to finish it.I’m looking for part time but would be willing to do full time in certain situations if the hours work for me.I have taken intro to health at the college and am cpr certified, though I believe it expires this year. I took ROTC all 4 years of hs, so I know first aid. I’m great at following directions, so long as they are clear/direct.I do have common sense, but I do like text communication to be available if possible.I’ll need some time to get adapted to the home, but I assure you I’ll do my very best to care for your children. I’ve been in college for three years now. I have a bit of experience with small children and babies, but I have more experience with elementary aged and up.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taught children in a classroom setting for many classes, though most of my experience was in a hands-on lab inclusive physics class. I taught/ helped in four periods of the day. Help included teaching students, giving direct one-one instruction and tutoring, grading and filing assignments, setting up labs, ensuring everyone was safe and on task, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.

Other experience includes working in a hospital before COVID helping patients with any care needed as well as directing nurses to patients in need, and delivering specimens to lab as needed.

I’ve held a food services job where I handled cash and the deposits, as well as prepared food in a clean and timely manner.

I also worked for a private cleaning company that went inside homes and air bnb’s and cleaned.

I have many transferable skills from these jobs that I’ve had while also attending high school and college as a dual enrollment student.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing catch, playing card games like go fish and I declare war, playing board games, drawing, any kind of art, reading time, and music time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is ensuring the child is safe. This is number one. I also believe that keeping the child safe while attempting to make it fun for the child(ren) is highly important. If the child isn’t having fun, this will cause more stress in the home because the child will be at disease while the family is away. This is the outcome I want the least for children under my care. I want them to have fun while also being taken care of in a safe environment.
